What will you do with your extra Leap Day?

We get 366 days in 2012. February 29 is an extra bonus day in our leap year.

When I opened my calendar for the week I noticed that on the February 29 date I had written: “Do Income Tax.” Really. What was I thinking? I had made that note early in the year when I was thinking of efficiency only.

Now that the date is upon me, I know that I won’t spend the gift of an extra day doing my taxes. I’ll find a more mindful way to spend my time: catching up with friends, going for a walk, doing some reading and going to my book club.

That’s more like it. The administrative stuff can wait for a regular old day.

What will you do with your extra 24 hours this leap year?
